There really isn't a place to take them for general testing --without great cost. The only option is calling your nearest game warden if you see a sick animal.
I am primarily interested in testing my harvests as reassurance before feeding it to my family. I live on the state line and, like you mentioned in your article, we are surrounded. Call me a skeptic but I find it surprising that they haven't crossed over and can't help but wonder if it's simply a lack of testing. I have shifted to avoiding severing the spinal column as a precaution. Boy I sure hate losing that meat around those vertebrates! Thanks for the reply!
