I, too, have been recording which plants in my yard are weathering well this latest flash drought. In my neighborhood, one person puts on the curb bags of bulbs and plants after she or he thins and culls. I wonder if “cowpen daisy” would survive thinning and transplanting. If so, after reading this column, I bet some people would like to have some of your tough daisy.
Hi, Kelly,
I, too, have been recording which plants in my yard are weathering well this latest flash drought. In my neighborhood, one person puts on the curb bags of bulbs and plants after she or he thins and culls. I wonder if “cowpen daisy” would survive thinning and transplanting. If so, after reading this column, I bet some people would like to have some of your tough daisy.
Hoping for rain,

I don’t know about transplanting but the seeds are plentiful, easy to germinate, and they spread like wildfire.
